Send Your Friends Messages In Binary Code!

Binary code (the ones and zeros that people assume are only in “The Matrix”), is a great way to confuse people. Basically, every character that can be typed is translated into a series of ones and zeros which signal whether a transistor is active or dormant. For example, try to read this:

010010000110010101101100011011000110111100100000
011101110110111101110010011011000110010000101100
001000000111010001101000011010010111001100100000
011010010111001100100000011000010010000001110011
011001010110111001110100011001010110111001100011
011001010010000001110111011100100110100101110100
011101000110010101101110001000000110100101101110
001000000110001001101001011011100110000101110010
0111100100101110

See? You can’t unless you are a genious. It says “Hello world. This is a sentence written in binary.” Hope someone learned something or got a little laugh out of this little rant.

(I don’t know binary, I used this: http://www.livephysics.com/ptools/binary-text.php)

  1. I know bits of binary, but it’s very tedious to write and read.

  2. A great way to learns basic binary is to download the binary clock widget for OSX. This clock indicates the time via binary numbers. The clock explains how to read the binary rows and columns each representing a different digit.

  3. Hmmm…got this idea from nerdsrule.wordpress.com…lol
