Future City

Engineers(code name: geeks) from all over the country are congregating in Washington D.C. for the 16th annual(I can’t believe it made it that long either) Future City Competition. Teams built a model city, basing the concepts on an essay question. This years question you ask: How does a city monitor its infrastructure using nanotechnology?(big words confuse me). Stay tuned for updates of the competition.

  1. I am not the biggest fan of the “future city” contest. To me, it is just an ostentatious bonanza.

  2. by the way, I designed the graphic in the post. Tell me what you think.

  3. Great design! I’ll send you a pic of us, so you can update te picture.

  4. the workshop system is corrupt

  5. futbal7, I agree with you 100%. I know we have discussed the bloated school system( See post: https://pnewb.wordpress.com/2008/02/09/the-education-system-not-my-cup-oftea/) As mentioned before, I truly hate the way the education system operates.

  6. Don’t be jealous guys.

  7. I have to agree that it is corrupt. The selection process it total garbage and the only positive thing about it is that it gives some of the students who are trying to work really hard a chance to do more advances projects. Otherwise, yes, its just a way for lucky, lazy kids to get out of class. The true workers stay after school til five on tuesday wednesday and friday and have been since september. Some people actually deserve to be in there.

  8. amen brother! You spoke the truth.

  9. chemboy, I truly hope you do provide updates for us. If you do, we will be the only site on the web providing comprehensive coverage!

  10. I’ll try! I may not be able to get to a computer. Either way pnewb will be the only site to have extensive covering!

  11. I see Jimmy, Alec, and Brandon, Jimmy is the biggest noob of them all.

  12. The school system is an ostetashusly and magnanomously planned.

  13. 1ant1 you are in workshop too!
